Alternative Characters - One of 25 characters duplicated for the Super Smash Bros. Melee Fantasy Season. They are different colored and have different home courses from their original counterparts. There are only 15 alternative characters.

Characters - the list of 25 Nintendo all-stars from Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Fall - a situation in which a character is knocked out, or is hit by an opponent and made to fly off the stage in one of four directions.

Game - a battle between characters in which the object is to attack, grab, throw, and knock the opponent off the edge of the battlefield in order to win the match.

Hit Percentage - the amount of hits given to an opponent divided by the number of total attacks unleashed.

Knockout - a situation in which a character hits an opponent and makes the opponent fly off the stage into one of four directions: up, down, left, or right.

League - a group of 3-4 people divided by random choice or geographic location.

Live Draft - a selection process where characters are put on teams. All teams are to be present for the live draft, or their characters will be picked at random. The date will be set by the administrator.

Lot - the name of a team put once in the draft lottery.

Non-Live Draft - a selection process where characters are put on teams without everyone present. A list of all characters, listed by most wanted to least wanted, will be given to the administrator, and he will pick the teams according to the lists given by each team.

Points - amounts awarded by doing something special in a battle; "In the Fray" is awarded when a character stays close to the opponent for most of the battle.

Rating - a mathematical calculation of a character's statistics in one game as basis for judging a character's performance.

Season - an amount of games to be played within a specific time span. The regular season are the preliminaries for the playoffs. Each season is made up of 47 games.

Self-destruct - a situation in which a character is sent flying off the stage in one of four directions without being hit by the opponent or by being hit by a stage prop or action.

Stock-battle - a game between 2 characters in which the first one to knockout the opposing character three times, making them lose all three lives, is the winner.

Team - one person and their own 2-3 characters. Each team is specified by a specific color.

Throw Percentage - the amount of total throws divided by the amount of attempted grabs

Time-battle - a game between 2 characters in which the team with the most points within a two-minute time limit wins. 1 point is given for a knockout, 1 point is taken away for a fall, and 2 points are taken away for a self-destruct in Summer Season 2003 rules. In Winter Season 2002-2003 rules, 1 point is taken away for a self-destruct.

Timed-Stock battle - a game between 2 characters in which the first one to knockout the opposing character three times before the time limit wins. If the time limit is reached, whoever has more lives left wins.
